Mike Webb

Mike is an exit-driven executive and has more than 25 years of entrepreneurial experience in healthcare and life sciences. He specializes in early-stage companies focused on targeted therapeutics and molecular diagnostics. Currently, Mike is the President and CEO of CXL Ophthalmics, LLC. He has been a founder and CEO of biotechnology companies, taking them from seed round funding through venture financing and NASDAQ IPO. Mike began his career in Booz, Allen & Hamilton’s Chicago office, specializing in healthcare and life sciences and subsequently at CIBA-Geigy (now Novartis) where he was a senior vice president.

Mike holds Bachelors degrees in Biochemistry and Economics from the University of Kansas, summa cum laude and an MA in International Relations from Sussex University in the UK, completing his thesis on "Pharmaceuticals Policy and the World Health Organization." In addition, he holds an MBA degree from Kellogg with a focus on healthcare management. He is a former Chairman of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council.
